West Virginia hired Darian DeVries as the school's next men's basketball coach on Sunday, with the two sides agreeing to a five-year deal.
DeVries has served as the head men's basketball coach at Drake since 2018.
ESPN's Pete Thamel first reported the deal was being finalized.
Three-year Drake starting guard Tucker DeVries is expected to join his father in West Virginia, according to Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68.
DeVries, winner of back-to-back MVC Player of the Year awards, recorded 21.6 points per game for the Bulldogs this season.
