MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s tennis team concluded its play at the ITA Atlantic Regional in Lynchburg, Virginia, on Saturday.
“Overall, I think we seen some good things this weekend, and we continue to see progress in everyone,” said third-year coach Miha Lisac. “It is important for us to learn from our experiences throughout the fall semester, including the matches from this weekend.”
West Virginia won one of two matches in the singles main draw consolation bracket.
Sophomore Habiba Shaker cruised past Norfolk State’s Dajana Cvjetkovic, only giving up two games in straight sets to claim the victory by a score of 6-1, 6-1.
