MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team completed the Wake Forest Open on Saturday, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, at the Kentner Stadium.
The final day of the event was highlighted by West Virginia’s four top-five finishes: one in the pole vault invitational, two in the pole vault B section and one in the 400 meter hurdles.
“I was pleased with a number of performances today,” said coach Sean Cleary. “The weather was not conducive for almost the entire day, yet we did not let the cold rain impact the results. If we keep our heads on straight in brutal conditions, we will be positioned well for great track weather.
