MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –Following a month off from competition, the West Virginia University rowing team travels to Fairfax Station, Virginia, for the Head of the Occoquan on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Sandy Run Regional Park.
The Head of the Occoquan is hosted by the Occoquan Boat Club, on the Occoquan Reservoir. It will be the first regatta of the season for the novice team.
“This is always an exciting racing weekend for us, because it’s the first race for the novice squad, and it is the only race in the fall when the varsity and novice squads travel together,” said WVU rowing coach Jimmy King.
