MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s basketball team and Marshall meet for the 55th time on Sunday, Dec. 13, in the annual Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston.
The Mountaineers (6-2) have reeled off four consecutive victories, including a 91-42 win over Fairleigh Dickinson last Sunday. Marshall (6-0) is off to its best start in 45 years and most recently toppled Alabama A&M, 81-45, last Saturday.
WVU owns a 38-16 all-time record versus Marshall and has won 10 consecutive contests against the Herd dating back to 2006.
