The West Virginia Mountaineers now know their upcoming schedules through the 2021 season. Athletic Director Shane Lyons announced Thursday that the Mountaineers will play the Florida State Seminoles in Atlanta for the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic in the 2020 season opener.
This will be the second time the Mountaineers have played in the Kickoff Classic. The first game was against West Virginia native Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Mountaineers gave Alabama a solid game, losing 33-23 in one of the few games that Alabama didn’t steamroll an opening day opponent.
