MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Two goals from freshman forward Michaela Abam helped the West Virginia University women’s soccer team score a 3-2 win at Ohio State in its spring season finale this afternoon, at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, in Columbus, Ohio.
“Today was a good day. We had some silly breakdowns and Ohio State punished us, but overall this was a great end to the spring season,” Mountaineer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown said. “The whole team played a tough game, and we were able to finish enough chances. Three goals is a great effort against a team like Ohio State.
