MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Devin Williams scored 26 points in 24 minutes and No. 20 West Virginia forced 31 turnovers while shredding Kennesaw State 87-54 on Saturday at the WVU Coliseum.
Daxter Miles contributed 18 points and four steals and Jonathan Holton added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Mountaineers, who tuned up to face No. 10 Virginia in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.
Though West Virginia (7-0) made only 15-of-29 free throws, it mattered little against the Owls (2-8), picked to finish last in the Atlantic Sun. Before a crowd of 8,731, the Mountaineers shot 52 percent from the floor and recorded assists on 23 of their 34 baskets.
