MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Neal Brown’s West Virginia coaching staff is undergoing its first change with wide receivers coach Xavier Dye leaving the program for South Florida.
Dye will hold the same position at USF. Former Clemson co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Jeff Scott was recently hired as the Bulls’ head coach.
Scott was Dye’s mentor at Clemson, helping him land his first full-time assistant coaching position with West Virginia this season. Scott was also his position coach when Dye played for the Tigers.
“I want to thank Xavier Dye for his contributions to WV football over the last 10 months,” Mountaineers head coach Neal Brown said on Twitter.
