MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — 25 years into his coaching career, Dave Aranda finally roamed the sidelines as a head coach for the first time last Saturday night. Baylor defeated Kansas in resounding fashion, 47-14 in Waco. Aranda has been a longtime assistant coach at Texas Tech, Houston, Hawaii, Utah State, Wisconsin and LSU. After spending the last decade as a defensive coordinator, transitioning to the role of head coach was a bit like getting immersed in a novel.

“It is almost like a murder mystery a little bit,” Aranda said.
