I hate to say this, but this West Virginia basketball team is irrevocably broken. The Mountaineers (8-9, 0-5) suffered an embarrassing 98-67 loss to a TCU Horned Frogs (13-3, 2-2) team that battled depth issues of their own tonight in Fort Worth, and it’s all but certain that this team will break the record for worst conference start, set by Gale Catlett’s final squad.
The Horned Frogs opened up a 21-7 lead midway through the first half, and West Virginia was never able to recover.
West Virginia had two players in double figures; James Bolden led the team with 15 points and Wesley Harris finished with 13.
