West Virginia closed its 2024 season with a 42-37 loss to No. 25 Memphis in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl. The Mountaineers fell behind by as many as 18 points multiple times but refused to go away, repeatedly cutting the lead to single digits before a late interception ended their final chance to complete the comeback.
The game didn’t start well for the Mountaineers, whose first two drives combined for just 12 total yards.
