West Virginia women rout K-State, 60-30

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Naomi Davenport notched her fifth double-double of the season as West Virginia cruised past Kansas State 60-30 on Saturday in women’s basketball.

Davenport netted a team-high 16 points and 15 rebounds, adding five assists as well. Tynice Martin just missed a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Lucky Rudd also finished with 13 points.

Short-handed WVU (15-5, 5-3 Big 12) dominated the rebounding 53-27, shot 40 percent from the field and held K-State to its fewest points since losing to Connecticut in the 2012 NCAA tournament.

“Give the credit to the players,” Mountaineers coach Mike Carey said.
