The Mountaineers defeated the Warhawks in dominating fashion thanks to 21 points from Javon Carter.
Javon Carter had a rough go of it Tuesday night against the Virginia Cavaliers when he was ultimately benched by head coach Bob Huggins. Carter responded well tonight against an outmatched opponent by dropping 21 points on the Warhawks.
A shaky start by the Mountaineers to start the game became a non issue within minutes as West Virginia brought a 59-26 lead into halftime at the Coliseum.
WVU survived the initial Jamaal Samuel onslaught as he scored the first 11 points for the Warhawks.
