MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Paced by a top-10 finish by Chris Williams, the West Virginia University golf team finished sixth at the Rutherford Intercollegiate on Sunday at Penn State’s Blue Golf Course in State College, Pennsylvania.
Williams shot one under par in the final round, jumping 19 spots take tenth place overall. He carded a score of 72-76-70=218 to end the tournament at five over par.
West Virginia shot 31 over par with a team score of 883 in taking sixth place. Host Penn State and Ohio tied for the team title at 16 over par with matching scores of 868.
