The West Virginia Mountaineers (16-3, 5-2 Big 12) brought their two game losing streak to a screeching halt with a dominant 86-51 win over the Texas Longhorns (12-7, 3-4 Big 12) in Morgantown.
Texas started the game going 7-for-11 from the floor, but were unable to build more than a four point lead before the Mountaineers ripped control of the game away from the Longhorns.
West Virginia took a ten point (32-22) lead into the locker room at the half, and continued building that lead throughout the second half. With just under five minutes left in the game, the Mountaineers held a 29-point lead over Shaka Smart’s Longhorns.
