MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia football fans will get some time off for trick-or-treating in 2020, while the Mountaineers will look to provide some treats of their own in their second year under Neal Brown.
With the Big 12 schedule completed, West Virginia was able to release next year’s full football schedule, which begins with a Sept. 5 game against Florida State at Mercedez-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Mountaineers have seven home games and an Oct. 31 bye week. For the first time since 2016, all 12 games will be played on Saturdays.
“Once again, West Virginia will have one of the most competitive football schedules in the country in 2020 as it features 11 Power 5 opponents,” WVU athletic director Shane Lyons said in an official release.
