MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia plays its final home game in almost a month when it plays host to Iowa State Saturday afternoon.
A win would be massive for the Mountaineers (3-2, 1-1 Big 12), who finish October with challenging road games at Oklahoma and Baylor. WVU has the eighth-toughest remaining schedule in the country as it tries to get bowl-eligible in Neal Brown’s first season.
The Cyclones (3-2, 1-1) are led by Big 12-leading passer Brock Purdy. Iowa State’s two losses are by a combined three points.
