West Virginia’s remaining Big 12 title game hopes came to an end Saturday with a 49-35 loss to Baylor (6-4, 4-3 Big 12) in Morgantown. The Mountaineers (5-5, 4-3 Big 12) traded touchdowns with Baylor in a high-scoring first half. Garrett Greene started for the Mountaineers after missing the last two games with an upper-body injury and wasted no time making an impact. He opened scoring for WVU with a 3-yard keeper on the game’s first drive and later connected with Traylon Ray on a tipped 9-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 14-14.
