“We had a very positive approach to today’s match,” said third-year coach Miha Lisac. “We had a good start on Friday, but things didn’t end well for us. On Friday, our mentality went downhill during the match. I thought we were able to battle all the way through today. We gave ourselves more opportunities in the second set than the first set, and that’s what we want to see.”
West Virginia (6-14, 0-9) fell behind 1-0, as the team dropped back-to-back doubles matches on court three and two, respectively, to surrender the doubles point to the Lady Raiders (21-4, 6-3).
