West Virginia began its third week of preseason practice on Monday with a full-squad workout. The Mountaineers were coming off an 88-play, two-hour scrimmage inside Milan Puskar Stadium last Saturday. Head coach Neal Brown noted that Darius Stills and Jeffery Pooler Jr. stood out on the defensive line. Brown also said that linebacker Josh Chandler-Semedo, as well as defensive backs Dreshun Miller, Tae Mayo, Tykee Smith, and Sean Mahone stood out as the practice’s top performers on defense.
All the preseason predictions have the Mountaineers finishing near the bottom of the Big 12 standings, but West Virginia is not bound to those predictions.
