West Virginia (9-2) closed out its non-conference slate with a 67-46 victory over Mercyhurst (6-9) on Sunday at the WVU Coliseum. Despite the absence of leading scorer Tucker DeVries and the early exit of starting center Amani Hansberry due to an injury in the opening minute, the Mountaineers leaned on their depth to secure the win. Javon Small led the way with 19 points, including his 1,000th career point on a fastbreak dunk in the second-half run.
