West Virginia could have an interesting quarterback battle on its hands

Football

Nine days into preseason training camp, West Virginia’s Neal Brown and his coaching staff still have nearly a month until the Mountaineers open up against Eastern Kentucky on September 12th. Add in the fact that full contact drills have not yet started, it will be a while before any type of depth chart comes into focus. Veterans Austin Kendall and Jarret Doege continue to compete for playing time at the quarterback spot. Brown has also consistently praised the newest member of the quarterback room, freshman Garrett Greene. Greene is adding tremendous athleticism and energy to the quarterback group this year.
