The first Big 12 game of the season is WVU’s biggest challenge yet. The Kansas State Wildcats lead the nation in total defense, allowing 179 yards per game. They’ve played — and lost to — No. 7 Stanford and Heisman Trophy candidate Christian McCaffrey and have only allowed 537 yards of offense. The Mountaineers allowed 521 against BYU.
