West Virginia climbs back into Top 25 in season’s final polls

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia is back in the Top 25 following a week-long absence.

The Mountaineers jumped up to 22nd in the AP Top 25 and 23rd in the USA Today Coaches Poll thanks to Saturday’s 76-64 win over then-No. 4 Baylor. The Bears dropped down to No. 5 in both polls after the loss.

West Virginia is tied for the 22nd spot in the AP Top 25 with Houston, which received the same number of votes.

Earlier in the week, WVU snapped a three-game losing streak and a six-game road losing streak with a 77-71 win at Iowa State.
