In what should come as no surprise to anyone, Jaysean Paige was selected as Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year. Paige led the Mountaineers in scoring with 14.3 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game while averaging over 22 minutes a contest. Paige turned it up in conference play, averaging over 16 points per game in 18 conference games, despite playing only 6 minutes against Texas while he was injured. Paige, a former Moberly MO Community College standout, was a fan favorite and steady offensive presence for the Mountaineers. Jaysean had some of his best performances when the Mountaineers needed him, including a 26 point outburst in a win over #1 Kansas Jayhawks in Morgantown and a 34 point explosion in a 97-87 win over #19 Iowa State Cyclones.
