West Virginia (13-4, 4-2 Big 12) earned its biggest win of the season with a 64-57 upset over No. 2 Iowa State (15-2, 5-1 Big 12) at the WVU Coliseum. Javon Small led the Mountaineers with 27 points, 20 of which came in the second half.

West Virginia leaned on their three-point shooting to keep the game close in the first half. Jonathan Powell and Amani Hansberry each hit crucial shots from deep to trim Iowa State’s lead, and a late surge sparked by Small gave WVU a narrow 25-24 edge heading into the locker room.
