MORGATOWN, W.Va. — Trevon Wesco’s first junior college season at Lackawanna was about learning the tight end position and growing into it.
“I went there and they put 40 pounds on me,” the recent West Virginia commitment told Metronews “Sportsline” during a guest appearance. “I went from 220 to 260 now.”
A standout receiver and quarterback at Musselman High, where he also starred on the basketball team, the 6-foot-5 Wesco admitted he wasn’t into serious weightlifting. After poor grades forced him to attend Lackawanna, Wesco wasn’t sure what type of Division I interest he would draw.
