The WVU athletics beat writer for the Charleston Gazette-Mail reported that RBs Wendell Smallwood and Rushel Shell, with cornerback Daryl Worley have all stated that they will test to see where they grade out for the 2016 NFL Draft.
This doesn’t mean they are leaving West Virginia. All three certainly have the potential to leave, though.
Smallwood had a career year for the Mountaineers rushing for 1,447 yards on 225 carries this season. He went over 140 yards on five occasions this season and scored nine touchdowns. Smallwood was a second-team All-Big 12 selection.
