Watch: Fairmont Senior’s Horton breaks down WVU decision

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Fairmont Senior guard Taevon Horton was a guest this week on the MetroNews ‘Statewide Sportsline’ to discuss walking-on at WVU.

“Since I was little, I always wanted to play at West Virginia,” he said. “It doesn’t get any bigger than West Virginia if you’re from around here. They gave me the offer and I just ran with it.”

Horton averaged 19.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game while shooting better than 50 percent from the floor this past season for the Polar Bears, helping lead his team to a 25-1 record and state runner-up finish.
