MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University sophomore Ginny Thrasher is set to compete at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final for Rifle/Pistol, at the Tiro a Segno Nazionale Shooting Range in Bologna, Italy.
Thrasher, a native of Springfield, Virginia, will shoot in the women’s 10m air rifle competition on Saturday, Oct. 8. The reigning NCAA smallbore and air rifle champion, she secured her invitation to the final with her Gold Medal performance in the women’s 10m air rifle at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games.
Ninety-nine athletes representing 34 countries will compete in 10 rifle and pistol shooting events.
