Slated to begin at 7 p.m. EST, the award ceremony will be hosted by Allie LaForce at the NYAC and streamed at www.aausullivan.org.
A 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games Gold Medalist, Thrasher is one of seven finalists for the Sullivan Award. Joining the Springfield, Virginia, native at tonight’s ceremony are Wisconsin volleyball star Lauren Carlini, USA Gymnastics Gold Medalists Laurie Hernandez and Aly Raisman, USA Wrestling Gold Medalist and Ohio State collegiate champion Kyle Snyder, USA Judo Gold Medalist Kayla Harrison and USA Water Polo Gold Medalist Ashleigh Johnson.
“I think this is a great opportunity to represent my sport, myself and West Virginia University,” Thrasher said.
