MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University sophomore Ginny Thrasher claimed Bronze in the women’s 10m air rifle today at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Final for Rifle/Pistol, at the Tiro a Segno Nazionale Shooting Range in Bologna, Italy.
Today’s showing is the first career World Cup medal for the Springfield, Virginia, native. She earned her invitation to the final with her Gold Medal performance in the same event at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games.
“Today was an excellent opportunity to have a high-level competition after the Olympic Games,” Thrasher said. “I executed my process really well, and this was a great way for me to get ready for the college season.
