MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — One of the best basketball players in West Virginia University history is set to have his number retired on Saturday, Rod Thorn.
Following his playing days at WVU, he went on to play in the NBA and worked in many front offices. Thorn appeared on a recent MetroNews ‘Talkline’ and spoke on his experiences on all levels of basketball.
He said not one of his multiple positions has been more rewarding than the others.
“I’ve been extremely fortunate to have a varied career and be in a lot of different aspects of professional basketball.
