BIG EAST-BIG 12 BATTLE
Bob Huggins and the West Virginia men’s basketball team will be traveling to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face Xavier in December for the 2022 Big East-Big 12 Battle. Like the Mountaineers, the Musketeers also missed the NCAA Tournament this season, but XU went on to win the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). WVU is 2-1 in the Big East-Big 12 Battle after last year’s win at home over Connecticut. Xavier is one of two schools that are 3-0 in the annual event.
