MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Jevon Carter and Nathan Adrian were selected co-MVPs of West Virginia basketball at its 2017 team banquet.
The senior forward Adrian is still recovering from surgery on a torn labrum, an injury that limited his range-of-motion during the final two games of the Big 12 tournament and the Mountaineers’ run to the Sweet 16.
Adrian earned Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year after averaging 9.6 points per game and a team-high six rebounds per game.
Carter led WVU at 13.5 points per game and led the conference with 92 steals, becoming the Big 12’s Defensive Player of the Year and the NABC national Defensive Player of the Year.
