AUSTIN, Texas — Matt Coleman was leaning back, mere inches in front of his own bench.
With West Virginia’s Wesley Harris all over him and another defender charging, Coleman somehow found just enough space to get off the final dagger of the night.
His 3-point shot with 1:03 remaining turned a one-possession game into a 61-54 Texas victory over the Mountaineers.
“I just knew that we had to make a shot,” Coleman said. “I think there were only a couple of seconds left on the shot clock. I just wanted to make a play, and you know the saying about big-time players making big-time shots in big-time games.
