Sources tell Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated that West Virginia linebacker David Long will miss at least the first month of the season due to a meniscus injury. Long’s injury is a blow to defensive coordinator Tony Gibson, who was going to rely on outside linebacker to help bring the defense together as it tries to replace 8 starters.
