MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s soccer team participated in its favorite community service activity two weeks ago, as the Mountaineers held their annual 4-versus-4 tournament, “Three’s a Team…the Fourth’s a Mountaineer” event on Feb. 26, at the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility.
Open to boys and girls in grades 3-8, as well as college-age students and adults, each team of three players was paired with a WVU women’s soccer student-athlete or Mountaineer coach. Following a day filled with soccer from dawn to dusk, the Mountaineers walked away with more than $8,000 in donations for Morgantown’s Betty Puskar Breast Care Center.
