MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Goals from seniors Alli Magaletta and Michaela Abam lifted No. 6 West Virginia to a 2-0 victory over TCU in women’s soccer Sunday.
In their regular-season home finale, the Mountaineers (13-3-1, 6-1-1) rebounded from Thursday’s draw against Texas Tech and extended their Big 12 unbeaten streak at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium to 39.
“This was so important,” Mountaineers coach Nikki Izzo-Brown said. “We got one against Texas Tech, but we didn’t finish that game off. It was so important for this team to come out and finish TCU off. How great, too, on Senior Day that Alli Magaletta and Michaela Abam got the two goals.
