MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Tying the lowest round on school record, Max Sear played a bogey-free 18 holes to lead the West Virginia University golf team on the second and final day of the VCU Janney Shootout at the Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, on Tuesday.
Sear fired six birdies to finish six under par with a score of 66, tying the lowest round on record for West Virginia and marking the lowest score posted by a Mountaineer since the team’s reinstatement. The sophomore from Unionville, Ontario, finished tied for seventh place with a two-round score of 71-66=137 for seven under par.
