MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – After record-setting performances from West Virginia University’s soccer programs, juniors Heather Kaleiohi and Jose Santos of the have been named the WVU student-athletes of the week, presented by University Apartments.
Men’s goalkeeper Santos extended his shutout streak to a record-setting seven consecutive games and more than 705 minutes with a pair of wins last week. Santos made a career-best seven saves in WVU’s 3-0 win against American on Sept. 20, holding the Eagles scoreless for the first time this season. He followed with a four-save outing at UNCG on Sept. 24.
