According to West Virginia Mountaineers head coach Neal Brown, leading receiver Sam James will play on Saturday against the Iowa St. Cyclones. James, who sustained an “upper body injury” against Texas was listed as questionable early in the week and many thought he would not be available. Speaking on his weekly radio show, Brown confirmed that James would be available.
The news comes just in time because without James, the Mountaineers would be without their leading receiver. James, a redshirt freshman, has quickly shown that he is quarterback Austin Kendall’s go-to guy, hauling in 32 passes for over 300 yards and two touchdowns.
