MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rowing team welcomed Duquesne University for a scrimmage, with both teams going through a number of different pieces on the Monongahela River in Morgantown, West Virginia, Sunday morning.
“Thanks to Duquesne for the quality scrimmaging today that certainly benefitted both of our programs,” said coach Jimmy King. “We’ll now focus on needed changes over the next two weeks as we work towards the EAWRC Regatta.”
The Mountaineers competed against the Dukes in the first, second and third varsity eights as well as the first varsity fours.
No team scores were kept, but the West Virginia crews had a good showing on the water with excellent conditions.
