MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rowing team finished the EAWRC Sprints in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, this afternoon. The Mountaineers’ top finishes came from the Second and Third Varsity Eight boats, which placed second in the Petite Final.
The Mountaineers’ Second Varsity Eight posted a time of 7:06.876 to finish third in its heat to advance to the Petite Final in the afternoon session. West Virginia placed second in the Petite Final, trailing Georgetown’s boat by just two seconds with a time 6:51.010. The Second Varsity Eight crew finished eighth overall out of 13 crews.
