Road rally keeps Mountaineers atop Big 12

AMES, Iowa — Jaysean Paige scored 23 points including the go-ahead 3 with 1:05 left and Devin Williams was a monster on the boards as No. 14 West Virginia rallied from 15 down to stun No. 13 Iowa State 81-76.

The Mountaineers (18-4, 7-2) won for the first time in four tries at Hilton Coliseum with Williams producing 17 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. He also made six straight free throws in the final 2 minutes to hand Iowa State (16-6, 5-4) only its seventh home loss in 79 games.

Georges Niang scored 20 and Abdel Nader 19 for the Cyclones who were outrebounded 43-26.
