MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — At Bethel Park (Pa.) High School, coach Jeff Metheny doesn’t have to choose just one position for his mammoth lineman James Gmiter.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound junior played almost every down as a two-way starter for the Class 6A team, so he presents options at the next level after becoming West Virginia’s first commitment for 2018.
Metheny joined MetroNews “Sportsline” on Thursday night to discuss Gmiter’s potential. (Watch the complete segment in the video above.)
“Tony Gibson likes him on defense, and if Gibby has his way he might be playing nose in the 3-3-5,” Metheny said.
