West Virginia (10-0) opened the contest on an 11-2 run and never trailed, using a 21-0 scoring spurt in the third and fourth quarters to pick up their 31st consecutive win over a nonconference opponent at the WVU Coliseum.
Saturday’s win tied the second-best start in program history, and USC Upstate (4-6) scored the fewest points by an opponent since Georgetown was limited to 32 in 2012.
Senior center Lanay Montgomery recorded her fourth double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
