MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team opens the 2017 outdoor season at the 49er Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 17-18 at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center.
The Mountaineers had three weeks to turn their attention to the outdoor season following the conclusion of the indoor season, as UNC Charlotte hosts the two-day event. West Virginia is one of 54 teams competing at the event.
Friday’s competition will begin with the decathlon at 9:00 a.m. ET, and will conclude on Saturday with shot put starting at 10:00 a.m. ET.
