On the nose: Bigelow’s big impact felt early

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Nose tackle Kenny Bigelow, wearing two bulky knee braises under his West Virginia blue pants, drilled Tennessee quarterback Jarrett Guarantano as he dropped back from under center on the first snap of Saturday’s game.

The play resulted in a 5-yard loss on a backward pass, but those five yards were menuscule compared to what the play meant to Bigelow.

“I dreamt about this last night to be honest with you,” he said. “I was so excited to get out here. I’ve been working really hard with these guys.
